We were able to knock out everything on the list with about a week to spare before heading back home to Utah. Here's a recap of all we accomplished:
- Ride the carousel at the mall
- Visit the alligator farm
- Eat at the Half Shell Oyster House and The Shed (which is the BEST bbq we've ever had so far)
- Go to the blue water beaches
- Have family pictures taken at the beach (I'll post some after the next couple weeks of packing and moving are over)
- Go to the temple
- Watch "The Frog Princess" (We saw this when it came out and didn't particularly like it, but thought it would be fun to give it another chance now that we have experience in the south.) **UPDATE: We loved it!
- Visit Fairhope, Alabama (recommended to me by my previous boss)
- Go to Mugshots monthly (For those who don't know, Mugshots is a burger restaurant that has been awarded 'Best Burger in Mississippi' for 5 years in a row. The award speaks truth. We have yet to find a better burger anywhere. We'll greatly miss Mugshots.)
All the burgers are 8oz of juicy goodness. I get 'Da Big Kahuna which is amazing. To. Die. For.
- Do the local driving tours of downtown Biloxi
- Buy a Dusti Bonge print (Dusti was a local abstract artist whose art I have fallen in love with.)
- Survive a hurricane.
After all is said and done, we've loved having this little list to keep us having fun and inexpensive adventures during our time in the south. We love the memories we've made while here. And if you're one who likes to see lists crossed off (we are definitely an it-feels-good-to-cross-off-lists-so-we-make-them-for-everything family), then go check out the original post where everything was crossed off as it was completed.
Anyone have any lists you've recently completed? Any goals that have taken a few months (or longer) to complete? Doesn't it feel good to cross them off? Oh ya.

Mmmm...Mugshots. Mmmm...The Shed....
ReplyDeleteWOW! Brianna, I really enjoyed reading some of the posts and seeing the pics from y'alls "bucket List". Sounds like a yearlong stay-cation instead of a grueling year at school. I didn't realize you would be moving home so soon. It is great to hear. We hope to see you over the holidays season sometime.
ReplyDeleteHaha...I guess it was more of a stay-cation, at least for Emerson and me! We would love to get together a few times during the next couple months. Plan on it :)
