We are trying to sap all we possibly can out of our last couple weeks here in Biloxi which means that we have almost completed our bucket list and only have one more item to do (which will be this weekend). It also means that we are at the beach more since we most likely will not live this close to the beach ever again. We've had some great picture-capturing evenings and have gotten some fun shots.
A plane went right over my head so I laid back and snapped this one.
Emerson and I went alone a few times while Will was busy with other things. I put a swim diaper on him thinking he would most likely get wet on his bottom half.
However, he found these crazy things (don't even know what they're called) that people can rent and ride through the ocean. He thought these were much cooler than the water.
He begged to get on one so I let him for a few minutes, but then he decided it would be more fun to stand up and try to walk all over it. That's when I got him down and kept him on the ground level.
We happened to see this pretty dragonfly while he was running through the maze of plastic wheels and metal pedals.
These benches are also much more fun than the water. Emerson is not much of a climber (knock on wood and pray to the ancestors this doesn't change), but he loved trying to top the wooden beach recliner.
The next time we went to the beach, I decided to skip the swim diaper since he wasn't much interested in the water the last go around. Well, I should've known better. Not only did he decide the water would suffice this time...
...but he also decided to have himself a nice beach bath and got soaked from head to toe. Yay for regular diapers that hang to his knees when wet.
He has recently discovered the greatness that is laying down in the bathtub, so he had to try out his new skills in the ocean. I couldn't help but take a million pictures of his cuteness. He must have spent a good 30 minutes just laying in the water.
We sure will miss having the beach so close to us. All we had to do was literally walk down the driveway leading to our apartment complex and BAM! Beach. It's been so much fun to have a beautiful view and free fun just a few minutes away.
Looks like a great way to spend your days! You should count your lucky stars that he's not a climber, I don't know how I got two of them but it's not fun! He's such a cutie, love how he's perched in the shallow water.
ReplyDeletePlus, it's the perfect beach for a toddler because of the long, shallow shelf. No worries about crashing waves and undertows. He could just be in the water and be so safe. What a wonderful thing!!
