What a fun year we've had with him! He has learned so much (as have we), and he has grown in so many ways. Like last year, Emerson gets two family parties this year. We gave him some PlayDoh and a bath toy and his cousins gave him a couple hot wheels cars. From his PopPop and Gigi, he got a laughing/rolling puppy. He loved all his gifts so much and has played with them practically nonstop since receiving them a few days ago.
Oh, and he totally has this unwrapping thing down. He isn't very fast, but he knows what to do and just likes to savor the moment :)
This puppy he got is quite a hoot. It rolls and laughs at the same time. (Watch the video at the end of the post and you can see it, too.) Emerson was a little hesitant at first, but then he got the giggles and we all just laughed and laughed for a good long time.
After presents, we gave him a miniature cake to devour. Someday I'll make him a cute one, but this time I opted for the easy route and picked one up at the store. He loved it just the same. In fact, he probably loved it more than any homemade one since it was so bright and colorful. Emerson also loves fire. We lit and re-lit his candles over and over again so he could see the fire and blow it out.
From walking and talking to throwing and jumping, Emerson has been such a joy in our lives. We feel so blessed to have him with us and can't wait to see what this next year brings. We love you, Emerson.

ReplyDeleteThey found it at the airport on the way here so it may be tricky getting your hands on one but the tag says it is designed by 50Fifty and distributed by Daron. Hope that helps :-) oh, and they also had a pig, a monkey, and a cat to choose from. Good luck.
