Happy New Year!  It's still January so I'm still allowed to say that, right?  

As a brief update, we drove to Arizona & holiday-ed with Will's side.  

 We had a blast spending a week with them.  

We slept in late, 

resisted celebration,

trashed Popps & Gigi's house, 

got excited over awesome presents,

& tuckered ourselves out.  

Then the boys drove the trailer & all our belongings through thick & thin Texas to Mississippi. After 28 long hours in the car with only short breaks and a brief stop to sleep the night, they arrived & unloaded the trailor that evening.  Then the girls + Emerson flew out and met them there (we totally got the better end of the deal).

no-I-don't-want-to-nap-here-even-though-I-really-need-to boy.)


Once we got to Mississippi, we drove home via Beach Boulevard.

Over the next week, Emerson helped me unpack, 

 organize the bathroom, 

and get everything clean as a whistle.

We love being in Mississippi.  The food is great, the weather is great (for now), and our apartment is great.  We can't wait to make new friends and get more acquainted with the city.  As far as being in a foreign state goes, we're glad to report so far so good.
